UMBC's Sherman Center's Reach Together Tutoring Program (RTTP). RTTP provided tutors from UMBC to several Baltimore City Schools. The program studies how math tutors impact K-8 students on math over the course of 2 years. They wanted showcase the results from the 2-year evaluation in a printed booklet format.
The Process
Moodboard
I started by examining what the client had liked based on the content they provided. All the content they liked followed UMBC's branding which I stuck with till the end of the project.
Rough Draft
For the rough draft, I went for a graphic look for the cover but felt more biology than mathematic and did not fit the theme of the booklet.
Final Design
With the final design, I added pictures of the tutors and children to build a human connection. I also added quotes from the participants. Overall, the final design created a connection between UMBC's Sherman Center and its participants with the results.
